Data sharing: ICOS Winter 2020 Dataset

Overview of data shared for the ICOS Winter 2020 Dataset

The ICOS Winter 2020 Dataset aims to help in studying ecosystem interactions both with the COVID-19 outbreak and related lock-downs and the anomalously warm winter season 2019/2020. The ecosystem research community orbiting around ICOS voluntarily created a working group, together with atmospheric and oceanic sciences colleagues, to tackle this issue in a coordinated and coherent way.

The contribution of Swiss FluxNet to the ICOS Winter 2020 Dataset comprises 104 site years across 6 sites (3 grasslands, 2 forests, 1 cropland). The first version of the ICOS dataset is expected in Fall 2020. All data will be free and openly available under the CC BY 4.0 license.
