Site Description
Managed (grazed) alpine grassland at 1900–2500 m asl, mainly on calcareous bedrock. The area and the adjacent facilities are part of the ETH Research Station. Eddy covariance flux measurements were carried out in campaign mode during summer in 2006 to 2014 (tower coordinates: 46°34’59.2″N and 9°47’26.3″E at 1978 m asl). Since 2014, measurements are running continuously.

Download Report 2025: Data Sharing
The demand for open-access ecosystem data from Swiss FluxNet reached an all-time high in the past year. Our newest download statistics show that researchers and the public downloaded 11'087 datasets in 2025 (which equals to more than 30 downloads per day on average), representing an increase of 33% compared to ... Added: Info about logging scripts for EC raw data
Added info about the used logging script to pages giving info about the eddy covariance raw data files(e.g., here for CH-FRU). The logging script sonicread (PDF) was used at all sites since 2004. In recent years (starting in 2023 with the site CH-FRU), we started to migrate EC raw data ... Read More
