Talking Points

Info

If you are (Tech-)SRP, please attend QA/QC meetings or tell LH if you can’t, needed for planning of the meetings.

SRP & Tech-SRP: please prepare short statement about your site and send to to LH (max. 2 sentences)

Looking back: preliminary 2018 fluxes

Note that no plots are shown for sites CH-LAE and CH-LAS since preliminary fluxes are scattered across multiple flux runs and files. Results for these sites can be seen in plots shown during earlier QA/QC Meetings in 2018.

Site Reports

CH-AWS

SRP (LH, fluxes): Generally good data coverage, but we missed most of the time period in spring when it got warmer and CO2 uptake started to increase. Still, from the data we have, we have an idea about the rate of CO2-uptake increase during this period.

CH-CHA

SRP (IF): Mice attack on soil sensor one day before Christmas caused a short on the logger. This resulted in a data gap of about 10 days for the meteo data.
Fluxes were still working during this time and are looking fine.

CH-DAV

SRP (MG, LH): This year was characterized by setup changes due to ICOS and the implementation of a separate ICOS-compliant EC data file (ICOS csv format), which is logged concurrently with our “regular” EC raw data file (ETH binary format). Unfortunately we missed the warming period between March and April due to the IRGA factory calibration. There is still a bug in the EC logging script that causes the script to stop, resulting in data gaps before the script is automatically (or in some cases manually) started again. We are currently trying to fix this.
T-SRP (PM): Chamber-frames (50 cm) installed, some clogged storage inlet lines. Helicopter rescue close by the tower (cross-country track) somewhen between Dec. 25. and 27., EC data acquisition stopped again recording on 31.12.

CH-FRU

SRP (LH): Little to say at the moment about CH-FRU, data for the year look good and data coverage seems extraordinarily good.

CH-LAE / CH-LAS

SRP (EPL): CH-LAE: Problems with the IRGA starting December 21. A replacement is currently being prepared. / CH-LAS: Fluxes seem normal for this time of the year.
